~ Deadlines for Agents: Ben Cherington was asked on Wednesday if he has started to set 'deadlines' for agents to make up thier minds so the Red Sox can move forward,especially Scott BorasBen's reply;"We're not at that point yet,if it does get to that point,we'll communicate that.We've got to be working on other things at the same time,and we are.He's got to go through what he needs to go through for his clients,and we get that.There will be time to talk in between.At some point,decisions have to be made and we'll communicate that,but we're not at that point yet."

~ The Steven Drew Saga: WEEI's Rob Bradford reports that the Red Sox 'haven't closed the door' on re-signing Steven Drew.On Wednesday his agent Scott Boras said that Drew "very much enjoyed" his season in Boston.But Drew is looking for a multiyear deal and the Red Sox may not be willing to bite.Once the Red Sox figure out third base Xander Bogaerts will be the everyday shortstop....and according to ESPN.com Drew has already received better multiyear offers than the Red Sox are willing to offer.

~ Replay Update: The funding for the expansion of instant replay for next season was approved by the owners.The finalized system will be announced once negotiations with the MLB Players Associan are completed.MLB seem to be headed for reviews being done in New York with the managers having one or two challenges per game.The Umpires are expected to be allowed to ask for a review of any plays that aren't challenged.

~ More Napoli: Buster Olney of ESPN reported last night that the biggest competitor for Napoil's services are the Texas Rangers.Mike has already played for the Rangers before in 2011 and 2012.In 2011 Napoli had his career high season in home runs with 30 (he hit 23 last year).That season did not end as well as this one for Mike.The Rangers lost the World Series to the Cardinals after blowing a 3-2 series lead.

~ Sailing Away ! : Jake Peavy did indeed buy one of the 'Duck Boats' from the Red Sox victory parade.Jake bought the boat for 
IS JAKE 'SAILING AWAY' ?
$ 75,000 during the parade.Peavey TWEETED a picture of the purchase with the caption "this is our ducking city." Yesterday the boat was loaded on a flatbed truck to be shipped to Peavey's Southwest Alabama home on the banks of the Alabama river.
