December 8,2013.

~ MATT KEMP STILL 'IN PLAY' FOR RED SOX: Matt Kemp's availability was checked out by the Red Sox a couple of weeks ago and the Boston Globe reports he still is 'in play' for the Sox. Also, Kemp's agent, former player Dave Stewart, has discussed Boston with him, "I'm 56 years old," Stewart said, "and people are still buying me dinner there, and I played for the other team. I told Matt about the city. The key to playing in the city is to perform." If the Dodgers do make a trade, it will probably be at the 'Winter Meetings'.

~ TANAKA MAY NOT BE 'POSTED' BY JAPANESE : The new 'posting system' limits only the winning team to paying the $ 20 million 'posting fee'. As a result news reports from Japan indicate that the Rakuten Golden Eagles, Tanaka's team, are "asking Tanaka to stick around". If he is posted he would become the most sought-after starting pitcher available.

Last week Jenny stopped by the Hyatt Regency Boston to support the hotel's annual toy drive to benefit the Boston's Children's Hospital. ~ DO YOU KNOW THE WAY TO SAN JOSE ? : Court documents revealed Friday that commissioner Bud Selig denied the Oakland A's permission to move to San Jose on June 17th. His ruling was final. The A's have been looking for a new home for the past few seasons but are having an ongoing battle with the San Francisco Giants over territorial rights. The city of San Jose has filed a lawsuit against MLB to stop it from preventing the move.
